I know this is not exactly about food, but it is food-related…kind of…

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had an amazing dinner at Shin Kushiya last week. The piping hot yakitori reminded me of my trip to Hokkaido, when I was stuck in the van with some friends because the snow was too heavy, and we were eating hot bento lunches with assorted yakitori…mmmmm…

It has been a long time since I had the time to cook. Since it was a long weekend, I decided to prepare dinner. I initially wanted to fire up the grill and do some yakitori type thing (inspired by dinner at Shin Kushiya last week, which was amazing by the way). thefoodpawn is officially one month old!

Well, well…time passes so quickly. It’s been a month since thefoodpawn was first brought forth to the world close to midnight on 27 Jul 09 after hours of labour, and weighing in at a massive 3.8 MB (well, the photo at least). Didn’t really have much time this weekend to prepare something major, so decided to do something really simple instead. And in case you are wondering, this has got nothing to do with equine ovaries (har har).
