Waroeng Lisung – Strawberry Juice Forever

While in Bandung, our friends took us to this really great place for lunch – Waroeng Lisung (or simply Lisung). On the way there, they kept telling us that we HAD to try the strawberry juice. Strawberry juice?!

While in Indonesia, I had the privilege of visiting an 81-year-old coffee factory in Bandung which is an institution in itself. The very existence of this company is like a finger to all the Starbucks outlets around the world. Not that the owner is that kind of a person.

During our stay in DC, we went to this place called Jenny’s Asian Fusion for dinner. It was, by all accounts, a decent meal…but nothing like what you can find at the neighbourhood coffeeshop “zhi char” stall.

Ok, technically, this meal wasn’t in the Big Apple. You see, we took a road trip to DC, and stayed there for four days (and I just wanted to keep the title).

Other than the usual fast food (e.g. Subway) and food courts, this was one of the more memorable meals in DC.
